alright guys im either gunna spend bucks or add a new stall or go 9 inch with 4.30's

I have a 85 cutlass stripped for 1320 duty

has a nice 355 with just about 11:1
ik200 brodix head

bracket master 2 cam
2,500-6,500
Intake Duration at 050 inch Lift 246
Exhaust Duration at 050 inch Lift 246
Duration at 050 inch Lift 246 int./246 exh.
Advertised Intake Duration 300
Advertised Exhaust Duration 300
Advertised Duration 300 int./300 exh.
Lobe Separation (degrees) 108

1.6 roller rockers
older weiland single plain high rise
hp750 .. msd etc

th350 full manual foward pattern and a 8,5 10 bolt 3,73s
hooker super comps with 1.3/4 primarys 2.5 exhaust with dumps

My current stall just to get it moving is a 2000 rpm stall its kinda lame outta the hole and obviously pulls hard mid and up top

i was thinking about running a bigger stall around a 2700+ or somthing or should i just scratch that and go with 4:30's and a bigger stall, Im happy so far with the power or the motor just need to up it a little more

I havent took it to the track yet as is either fyi eventually its getting a roller cam and ported ik200's and a good intake

lend me your ideas thanks

I'd want at least 3000rpm stall with that Cam.
With 11.00Cr a larger Cam would also work well but, more Gear would be needed.

If your going to race it I would work into a nine inch w/ the 4.30 gears although your 8.5 will handle it. Push your stall to 4000 and let your builder know if you are foot braking or trans brake which any good builder will ask anyway. I am running close to your new combo and happy with it. Any questions give a shout.

for the $$$ you'll spend on a 9", you could put a good axle/spool/c-clip elim kit in the 8.5 AND buy a converter, and have a lot of beer money left over.

yea upon thinking it over/ i scored a free eaton diff just smoke the stock posi with radials lastnight,

so im going to do the eaton upgrade its 28 spline but it was FREE!!!! brand new traded for a free to me part
got moser 28 spline axles and saving up for c clip elimanators

im gunna stick with the 373's for right now most likely switch to 410s running with a 26'or27" tall tire will act like 430s

im also ditching the current cam and going to a solid roller or just a roller, found a bunch of WAYYYY better grinds
then once i feel its running healthy im gunna do a convertor most likely a 3500+ stall like 3800 ideally
