In an attempt to lower the car and give the suspension a little more travel, I am debating going with a coil over spring in the stock location. I know a lot of people do this so I was wondering what spring to go with. Currently I have f-body springs in it, which did lower the car some which is what I was looking for. The problem is that the moser 9" housing raised the rear of the car up and the fbody springs are a little stiff to get maximum weight transfer. I was playing with the suspension while the car was on the lift and noticed I wasn't getting very good travel. What are you guys using?

With no driver the car is 1410lbs on the rear.
What length and what weight?

Cherp,

I don't know if it helps or not, but I did the QA1 coil over conversion on my Malibu. I remember (this was years ago) the guy telling me to go with the lightest springs possible. He sold me on the 130 lbs springs. I'm not sure how long they are, but I can say they are compressed a considerable amount when the car is sitting. A lighter spring would probably go into coil bind on a big bump.
