Looking to swap out a arms.....sc&c has nice products. Do I need adjustable uppers or not? Street driven bbc 2 door 700hp. Trying to hook and drive descent. Thanks! Any setups preferred? All rebuilt stock as of now. Shock recommendations?

I have a bbc in my Malibu.

I have Spohn Performance uppers and UMI lowers

UMI's prices have gotten a little high lately while Spohn's stayed the same.

mark's stuff is nice but you don't NEED adjustable arms, unless you like the look of the turnbuckles and having no bump stops that bang into the frame when you jack up the front of the car..with the spohn arms you're not gaining anything, they're just tubular copies of the stock ones w/different bushings..there's no geometry gain or alignment gain to be had so why bother.
umi is more money but they've done their homework and there's gains to be had there.it all boils down to what you're looking to do/spend with your car.for shocks,my money says for the best NON adjustable is bilstein.

When UMI can't answer the question of
Why did you change the design of your upper control arms and the "spokesman" doesn't even know what the change was my confidence level in there "homework" isn't to high.

Then they use an arm on there own car that is not even offered for sale.....

Third when I had an issue with the ball joints they supplied with the lower arms customer service was one of the worst I ever experienced.

It was non existent.

Yes I was disappointed

I asked them about the arm change in the Monte build post on GBody

I didn't want to hit them to hard being they are a sponsor on that site.

I have the SPC full adjustable uppers with the screw in BJ i got from SCandC.

Excellent arms. Along with the taller lower BJs and SPC springs the turn in and feel was amazing. However I am into turning hard. May be excess for a more straight lined car.

i have spohn lowers and speedway uppers. The speedway uppers are junk. I bent them quite easily. I welded a new tubular brace across them that connects the ball joint pad with the side tubes. Now they work but they don't align properly. My car is a little hairy at 136 mph. I'm gonna buy better uppers soon as well. I've had bad customer service from UMI as well. If you really want their products i'd buy them from Summit.

Global West still makes great stuff. I've been using/installing their products since they were one of only two vendors that made G-body stuff and never had a complaint...
