Well all are out except one bulb, left turn signal bulb, high beam bulb are out. Trying to figure this out. Can someone tell me how to remove the cluster so I can check the bulbs? (Tried searching the forum here but no luck).

Also, any other suggestions? The fuses are fine. It's a 1979 Malibu with the sweep style speedometer.

Thanks.

Re: Instrument cluster bulbs are out / cluster removal quest

There are 4 sheet metal nuts holding the cluster in place. There is a clip holding the speedo cable to the speedometer, and the prndl indicator has a little clip attached to the column (if it's not broken/gone). There is a chance the traces will be corroded, at that point you will need a new printed circuit board (plastic sheet with electrical traces). It's also a good time to make sure the grounds for the cluster are good too, if not, any gauges it has will act funny when the dash lights are on (aka read wrong).
