Latex paint on interior floor?

I was looking at different alternatives to lizardskin, and found some ceramic microbeads for houses that could be mixed with paint to reduce the heat. The only info I found on it though involved using latex paint. Are there any issues painting a steel floor with this? Does latex paint insulate better than enamel?

i don't know if either one of those provide any insulating properties, but be sure to put some kind of primer to the metal first before applying any kind of topcoat.

For anyone following along, I picked up some enamel primer and base coat from tractor supply, and painted the rear cargo area of my wagon. There was a very noticeable drop in noise just from painting that area. I can only assume that it will insulate heat as well when the time comes. I don't suggest it though unless you can drive with the windows down or let it air out for at least a day or two.
