Found this on eBay. I like the T Type steering wheels, but it's Brown and not Tan (My interior is Tan, fyi.......)

I could live with it, but I'm not sure I'm being objectional.

Tell me your experiences and what do you guys think??

Re: Brown Steering wheel with Tan interior??

I have tan guts in my Malibu, bought the car and the previous owner installed a brown leather wrapped Z28 camaro wheel. It doesnt look out of place at all. I don't have a pic right now, but I'll try to get you one.

Re: Brown Steering wheel with Tan interior?? Went with Tan..

Well, I got my wheel installed. Came out of a late 70's Z28. I had no problem getting the old wheel off (anyone want it???) However, I'm stumped as to how to get my horn hooked up and working. I got all the parts to install the wheel, including the horn button retainer parts (see photos)

(The button is just sitting on the wheel for the photo)

Anyone have some advice as to how I should put this bad boy together??

The other thing I noticed, now when I drive the car, the wheel is off center. I don't remember dealing with that with the other wheel. It appears that the wheel can only go on one way, with the wire for the horn to line up correctly...?

HALP! :?

Re: Brown wheel with Tan interior? Went With A Tan Z28 Wheel

Well, I did some searching on nastyZ28.com, and I think I found a good diagram on how the horn is supposed to work. I just have to remove some of the wire and attach it to the spring....

The main difference is that this setup does not use the wire, It uses a plastic nipple, spring and metal contact

This is the kit you need

Re: Brown wheel with Tan interior? Went With A Tan Z28 Wheel

Thanks Turna.. Much appreciated!

The kit you added the picture of looks like the same parts I got with the wheel. Is there an advantage to the new kit, other than it being new? The only hurdle I think I have, is removing that wire, or enough of it to get the spring in the hole, so the contact can touch it...

Alot of times parts are missing or broken.

Sometimes the setup looses its springiness
