Long story short, the return line is causing my LS swap to run rich. Pretty sure its just too small at 5/16" Heres my question, should I mod the stock unit to make the line larger, or weld a bung in the tank and run the AN stuff to it?

Can't you just adjust the program to make the injector size larger?
That would match the added pressure causing the injectors to be bigger than rated and actually be better for tuning.
If you have to run a bigger line and the tank is coming out anyway, do the best way so you won't have issues again.
IMO Bung with AN would give the best sizing choice.

Turns out it was a pinhole at the dump into the tank, and 5/16 is big enough.
And I wouldnt think you could adjust the injectors for 130 psi. Could you?

I had a very simular problem when I converted to TPI in my car. I used my old main fuel line (5/16" on V6 car) as the return. The main was plugged beyond belief. How the V6 ever even ran was a wonder. I had over 100 psi fuel pressure and it would not come down. Replaced the return with new line...pressure returned to the normal 45 psi.

Glad you found the issue. On an EFI set-up a small return can be used due to the much higher base pressure (vs carb).
