What brand/weight oil is the best to use in a race engine?

With "normal" bearing clearances, etc., I like a nice 10w30, synthetic or mineral.
I usually break in on 5w30, but not always.

Valvoline mostly, sometimes Mobil 1, and since I run a flat tappet cam, I like the Dura-Blend, with some GM E.O.S. added every once in a while.

Shell Rotella T, i know its specified as a diesel truck oil, but its not an issue, it has a nice amount of zinc as well, ive never run the additive with it and have had no issues

I ran straight sae30 Rotella in my dirt car with no problems. only one blew up, but that was the cast pistons fault.
