I just purchased a 200r4 out of an 86 Cadillac, with the cam that's in my 350, I want a higher stall torque converter. What are brands not to buy?

I have a TSI unit. I have no qualms with the brand...other then they sold me a too loose of a unit. Didnt really take the time to learn my combo, literally less then 10min phone call including giving them my card number. Just gave me a random off the shelf unit.

I was going to have R&R Converters (in NC i think) build me a custom one. We talked for nearly an hour discussing my car and what I was trying to do at the time. He went over all the details and stuff that influences stall. He even knew the p/n TSI had sold me before telling him (scary). Id call him. I will when my next converter need arises for sure.

Thanks Greg. I decided to try one from PATC. A 2500 stall for 189.00. I'll have to see how it works out. The scary part of buying parts, we don't know who's making them.
