I have seen many different answers on the 12 bolt swap. Will this work with just the control arm swap kit or will the shock brackets and spring brackets need to be moved as well? I have also seen that you will need a new driveshaft and then others say just a different u joint. So what is the real answer? Thanks to all who help in advance.

You need the arm swap kit, i didn't need to move my shock bracket or spring perches. I did however upgrade the driveshaft, and a different u-joint is needed. And you will need a different backspace for your rims. My 12 bolt is out of a 67 chevelle.

Ok. Just trying to figure this out. I can easily get a 12 bolt out of a 73 chevelle but I am thinking that it may be way to wide. Guess I will just have to measure it and see. Thank you for your help.

72 chevelle was the last year for the 12 bolt as far as I know. So you may want to confirm what car that rear is from. And if it was modified to fit the 73.

Thanks guys. I actually just came across a 12 bolt out of a 67 so I do believe I am going to buy this one. I appreciate the help.
