I am using an A/C bracket off an S-10 to use a R4 style compressor. It will be located at the top passenger side. It bolts right to the passenger head and aligns perfectly. Additional braces will need to be fabbed, because only one bolt goes in the head. It will use the existing Malibu A/C controls. Here is a picture of what it will look like when I get it completed (picture from LS1tech.com):

The bracket will need to have part of it removed. Here you can see the part that needs to be removed. Here it has been sandblasted and primed:

Here is what the bracket looks like after removing the bottom portion of the bracket with a cut-off wheel. It has been painted with aluminum paint:

Here is the "mostly" completed gauge panel. I painted the aluminum panel flat black and used Autometer Phantom gauges. I used green LED's for the turn signal indicators and a blue LED for the high beam indicator:

This is what the back looks like. I still need to wire the left and right turn signal LED's and the high beam LED. I need to get resistors to control the brightness of the LED's before completing that. Notice the connector to ease removal of the panel if necessary:

Radio Shack. They have them in different pin contact numbers. I believe they had 4, 6, 9, 15, etc. They are less than $3.00 each. Requires one male and one female. You can crimp the pins on with a crimp tool or solder. Worked out good for me. See here for an example: http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2103253

Re: Another small update - 11-29-08

Thank you. You can get the connectors at the stores, you don't have to mail-order. You probably knew that, but I just wanted to make sure.

Here's the finished product, ready to install:
