My hubby just picked me up a REAL CLEAN 82 prix (I am actually the second owner !!) It has the 3.8 V6 in it but due to the car sitting for ever (It has only 39,000 miles on it) the inside on the engine is really sludged/caked up.

Should he continue trying to clean it up.......................or what do you guys think of us putting in a 4.3? I would like to do a protouring style GBody but want to stay with a V-6 theme just to be different.

thinking of either a turbo 3.8 or doing a supercharged 4.3

If you want to keep the v6 then go with a turbo from a gn or t-type.

X2 on the GN V-6 like bowtie81 said, the 4.3 has a different bolt pattern on the transmission as well, I like the 4.3 but a turbo v-6 would be different and it would fly, the GP is one sexy car anyway,, post some pics when ya can, matty man

If you just want to go bigger and V6, find a 4.1 Buick V6 and swap that in.

A bit more torque and it should swap in bolt for bolt.

Most had a small 4bbl and were found in the bigger bodied buicks of the day.
