what does everyone do for wiring the coil when the battery is in the trunk???

Mike, are you speaking of the MSD ign boxes??? i munted mine on the firewall....
Now if your asking about where to wire the coil??? well with mine the msd box has the wires for the coil...so no need to go to the battery.
and the wire for the MSD box that states must go to the battery positive i have hoked up to the battery post on the starter.

i ran a positive and a negative wire from rear off battery to the MSD box on the fire wall.........ran them right with the battery cable to front..

MSD wiring
Mike...Mine is inside, with the power taken from the battery terminal on the solinoid. The coil is right above the box on the inside of the firewall...away from the heat!! :x

im thinking i might mount it inside if i can... also have the dial rev limiter... wish it came w/ a longer cable!!
i ran an accesory block up under the dash and wired the MSD into that behind the glove box with the coil, like greendraggin's but on the inside
