wiper motor wiring

its for the "park" feature.it keeps a small amount of current so after you shut the wipers off it has a small amount of power to bring them down below the hood line when the key gets shut off.i rebuilt a 86 Monte ss column so i went with the same year Monte ss wiper motor and didn't have to deal with that diode part.it just wired up differently than the oe 82 elcamino motor. had i used the original stuff I'd retain that diode for sure.
