I myself have tried three different times with some form of feeding the engine outside air and to date I've not been able to see any positive performance gains. Each time I spent a good amount of time and effort to tune the car for the air pan and still could not see any gains.
I'd like to try a different design again, but it's a low priority as of now.
See you on the 28th Marc!
Thanks for the links Todd! We have made them for the regular cowl hoods and found .096& 1.250mph after three designs picking the air up from the back. When the Pro Stock Trucks hit the track I talked quite a bit with Randy Daniels and Larry Kopp at the US Nats. in Indy about the what they do as far as getting air off the front. They both were very helpful with this and down to earth. Not all hush-hush like the cars. Only problem is that was 9 or 10 years ago! I'm working on something now but, won't really know anything since we don't run the car all out yet. Just trying to get ahead for next year so I can look at the side of you PSI guys instead of the back!!!
See ya at Cecil pal!
