I'm looking for some nice wheels for my 79 monte carlo project.

Found the BOSS 338 rims:

Will these fit on my 1979 Monte Carlo?

18 x 8 Front wheels
Offset: +2mm, Backspace: 4 1/2"

18 x 9.5" Rear wheels
Offset: -4mm, Backspace: 5"

thx,
-Kevin

I know they will fit a Malibu with those sizes and backspace...I've heard that the Monte is slightly more restrictive in the rear wheel well......best bet is to try and get a wheel that spec and see, sorry

here's 18x8 with 4.75" bs and 245/40/18 on front
and 18x10 with 5" bs and 275/35/18 on the rear of my Malibu

heh....Tony took the easy way

mine has trimmed S-10 coils up front with the B-Body 12" brake swap
the rear is a set of global west rear springs for a F-body with the F-Body upper cushion

5" B/S is gonna be tight on the rear-I ran 4.5 on a 17" wheel and it came real close to the framerail. imo, tighten up the rear with a suspension package to limit side to side travel and trim a half inch from the inside of the lip-if you plan to ditch the trim as Tony did-very clean look. Front size will be okay.

Has anyone actually installed Boss 338 wheels on a G-body? Seems like I remember reading somewhere about having a problem with the wheel hubs mating with the spindle/axle hubs.... I'm stuck between the Boss 338 wheels and the Coy C-57's for the Father/Son Project.

Anyone had experience with the Boss 338 wheels on a G-body?
