swapping to the late blazer knuckles and brakes. Is there and upgraded aluminum caliper that would replace the cast iron 2 piston caliper?

The only ones I know of also require different/larger rotors. Check out Kore3. They make an adapter bracket that bolts in place to use C5 Corvette calipers and rotors on the Blazer spindle and hub. Mind you, these require a minimum of 17" wheel...

Kore3 does have brackets that bolt to the Blazer spindle to fit aluminum calipers. But the minimum is a 13" rotor which will require a 17" wheel. I just asked them about this actually.
