Just bought a 1986, LOW mile El Camino. Odd issue with the brakes and not sure what it could be. Occasionally when I lightly tap the brakes, it's like one of the tires instantly locks up for a second or so. Let go of the brake and reapply and no issue.

Any ideas? Can't tell if maybe it's the old as .... drums out back or there is air in the line... or???

I had a similar problem with my daily driver turned out to be the wheel cylinder.

Pull drum check springs.. And adjustments... For lack of use and time sat.. I'm sure there is alot of rust inside the drums

Shoes are on backwards or sticky wheel cylinder, not necessarily in that order.
