I've read the info on swapping the Monte gauges into a Malibu and I have a couple questions,
Do I literly pull each wire out of my dash plug and put them in the holes the instructions say ?
I'm assuming the plugs are the exact same for both models ?
What would happen if I just plugged it in the Monte cluster without changing wire locations ?

If you just plug the sweep harness into the round speedo harness 90% of the cluster will not work correctly.

I also believe you also have to change the sending units

Yes, basically de pin your factory harness, moves the wires where they need to go, change sending units for temp and oil pressure, plug gauge cluster in. I did this back in 94. Took awhile comparing two wiring diagrams and figuring out here each wire went but it all worked!

Thanks, I wasn't sure if they easily pulled out of the stock plug and reinserted in the same plug or if I had to buy another plug.
