This real winter weather in the East Coast came down like a hammer and have the opportunity of saving the Malibu from the salt encrusted roads of I95/295 corridor. So grateful that a '05 Cavalier econo box came available within the family. Just hope it holds together until end of March. Promised the wife that I would sell it and then back to the Malibu as the daily driver.

Anyone actually driving their Malibus everyday in the Northeast at this time?

Heck, I don't even want to drive my wagon to it's new home! I should've taken advantage of our warm weather about 2 weeks ago (in the 50's!!)...now it's super cold again (around 2 degrees at night, some days are below zero before the windchill). Brrrrr

Just by chance, the Malibu's 350' oil pan rusted and developed a pin-hole leak so that deadlined it, and happened to hit on the econo box as the winter driver, that is until the end of March. Promised the wife I'll get rid of it, then back to the Malibu. She has a thing about having old cars around the house that don't go any place, so now the Malibu is in that category until the pan is replaced.
