I had to take the cover and shield off the gauge cluster. I have a stainless plate that goes around the gauge face, it came unglued. I'm in the process of regluing it now.

Work on it every day even if it's only for 15 minutes. I know that sounds stupid, but a little at a time will get you there eventually!

I pulled the speedometer cable out through the firewall. I was hoping to mount the electronic cruise control under the dash. I then learned it needs to connect at the transmission. In the process I disconnected the tach. So I removed the gauge cluster so I can reconnect the speedometer cable and reconnect the tach. Once I get that accomplished, then I'll put it back together.
