Just thought I'd stop in and say hi, been about 8 years since I've been here! I posted a carb for sale, hope that's ok. Lots of good looking cars still here. Don't ask about my bu, unless you want to hear a good story!

Hey Turna! Last time I was on here, you had just wrecked your bu, how long ago was that? I intended on taking a break, but it turned into a major disappearance! I'll keep checking in from time to time. I'm assuming you got it rebuilt?

Was thinking about you a few days ago, wondered what happened.

I think it was Excelerater that crashed his car

It was Excelerator! So here's the story. I sold the bu in December 2008 or 9, can't remember now. A guy from Abilene bought it and paid cash for it. He was a pretty big player in the street race scene from what I heard. He took the car and ran a few people the first weekend, car was setup very nice for the street with the 406 in it. He won a little $$ and it was a perfect setup from what I hear. The next weekend he slipped in a 588 and went back out and won a lot of $$. Then put the 406 back in and just used it for a cruiser and daily driver. Fast forward about 6 months, I get a letter in the mail informing me that the vehicle that I had an accident with was not insured at the time. I hadn't had any accidents. So I found this guys info, called him, and sure enough, he'd never transferred the car into his name or registered it. A methed out girl running from the cops rear ended the bu sitting at a stop light and knocked it across a 4 lane intersection into 3 other vehicles. It was totalled, bad. So long last set of Euro taillights in the world lol. So, the guy calls me and says he needs my help. He had the car insured, and the check would be in both our names. Get this, I sold the car for $5600. He collected $13,200 insurance for the totalled car. I wish I'd have known it was worth nearly 3 times wrecked than it was running and driving, I could've crashed it myself! I found the car in Abilene and took some crashed pics, but I don't know where they are now! It was bad, Grand National rear end unhurt, 406 unhurt. Tried to buy it back from the insurance but the least they'd take was $3600. There's a lot more to the story, but it would bore y'all to hear it!

When you get a chance, could you get me the GM numbers off of those? My old GM ProQuest Software doesn't run on my new laptop so I can't look them up...
