Somewhere I've read that the torque specs for body mounts were @52-53 ft lbs. I torqued mine between 53-55 ft lbs. 26 seems awful low.

I torqued them to 30 ft-lbs to begin with. It felt like they about to pull the treads out of the cage nuts. I might try 35 or 40 after they sit for a couple days but I think 52 ft-lbs will end up causing the cage nuts threads to fail.

I can't remember for sure what I torqued mine to, but I will say that the torque amount seems low until you actually torque them down. The body bushing will have some give to it so that torque reading will actually allow the bolt to be turned further into the nut than it would without a solid type bushing. I imagine that's the reason for the oddly low torque requirement.

Did not chase threads because old bolts came out easily without any breaking. I have not had a chance to check torque as I have been busy putting front end back together but I will check today. I am hesitant about 52 but if 40 - 45 feels good I might go for it.

dont be scared of stripping them out, those cage nuts are made with 1/4" plate steel.
