4" hardwood lift off questions

Anyone installed one of these on a malibu? If so I was wondering is it possible to make it a functioning hood with a prop rod if anyone done that .Im gonna attempt it with mine .Sold my 2" steel one due to clearance issues and got a good deal on this new 4" one. Any pics and al info would be great. Thanks.

Well i did it and i must say it turned out well and took about 1.5 hrs and 7 bucks for supplies at lowes.

Sure Ill put some up after work tonight and a parts lists aswell.
