[/url]IfWell since cherp did it i think its a cool idea to post the winter progress on my projects. parts are just starting to trickle in so not much to update right now.The goal for all of this is mid tens on motor and easy 9's on the hose. plus the car will continue to be driven everywhere.

    Plans for the winter

    421
    little m block
    eagle 3.8750
    eagle 6 inch h beam
    je coated 11:1
    brodix 227cc cnc track 1 316@.650/317@.700
comp solid roller (not sure on specs yet)
    crower hippo lifters
    brodix hv1002
    nickerson 1080 dominator

    crossmember

cutting out the front crossmember for easy oil pan access

    headliner.

my headliner isnt looking to good so time for a new one and also some new sunvisors.

    headers and x pipe

hedman husler 1 7/8x3.5 headers and a torque tech 3.5 in 3 inch out x pipe. plan on welding it all up and then sending it to be coated. also plan to get the tailpipes coated.

heres the first of the pics! my huslers showed up today! hopefully ill get over to the garage this weekend, the motor is out and already dismantled and sold off. next on the agenda is cutting the crossmember and welding in the new tubes, if i stop by the engine builder ill snap some pics of the new heads and stuff. hes basicly waiting on the pistons.

Cool deal Cherp! cant wait to see your progress as well. Im not redoing my cage till the car runs the number! cant wait to get the engine together and on the dyno. Iwont be able to run with you big block guys on motor but thats what the bottle is for! lolol. im trying to do more with less cubes and my pockets arent deep enough for 18 degree stuff plus im trying to keep it pump gas friendly.

I thought you were gonna step up to the 227 track 1's? Those headers looks pretty dang nice, can't wait to see how the rest of the exhaust is gonna look. 8)

the guys at brodix said the 215 would be a better choice. the car is heavy and it needs a more midrange torque than high rpm hp. it should make more power in the shift recovery zone with the 215's than it would have with the 227's. i hope they are right. hoping for a peak of around 540+ ft pds. try to keep over 500 ft pds over a broad range to keep the car accelerating hard. its all in the combination. flow is still over 300 305@ .600-.650

I like all of your winter mods but if I could redo my old small block combo I would have went with the afr 227's with a custom cam. Those heads KILL eveerything else I have seen at the track.
