what are you wanting the stall for, if I not mistaken you said your car was supercharged. I would have to say that most people would say that you need a tighter stall with a blower cause of the low end torque they make. The blower will cause a loose stall to flash way higher that the advertised number and if it is gonna be drove on the street that will make the transmission get really hot. But if it isnt for that motor than you just need to state what motor it is gonna be behind.

Well what is your application? Is it a street car or race car or is it like 50/50 and what size do you have now?

Ya if it was me I would keep it tight to keep the transmission temps down. Just my 2 cents.

In my regal I have a fairly tight 3000, for the street the stall speed is great. I know I wasn't making as much power as you but I had a fairly stout 357 that made nearly 400 at the tires. The engine worked very well with the convertor. I have a buddy with a much larger stall convertor (5500 flash ) and its great for the track and sounds rank but his trans gets pretty warm when we cruise. He is actually tightening up the convertor about 1500 rpm this winter.
