Vega Steering Box Conversion

Hi Everyone

Looking to convert my 79 malibu wagon to a Vega manual steering box.This is for a drag racing only application.Anyone know what is involved and and in particular what do you need to use for a pitman arm?

Why a vega steering box? Is it better than the s10 box?

Hey

A vega box is just smaller and lighter than an S10 box and I'm looking to shave a bit more weight off the front of my car.They are not really heavy duty enough for a street car ,but for a drag racing only application like mine one should be fine.Should be good for a 10 lb weight reduction.
