this car is turning into such a headache! everything was cobbled in this car when I got it. Correct me if Im wrong but the hurst pro-matic 2 shifers come with a nss on it correct? and there is one from the factory on the steering column too right? well neither one of them have any wires going to it. the car wont crank for obvious reasons but I have know Idea how to hook up the nss. any help would be apreciated. 79 malibu th350. thanks
i know for most g bodys there is no elecrtic nss. it is a mechanical lockout on the steering column that wont allow the key to turn if the column is out of park. the wires on the column are for the reverse lamps. if you want to hook up a nss switch the purple wire coming from the ign switch should be interrupted with a relay that is switched on via the nss on your shifter. look for your no start problem other places. possibly a bas starter?
