Did anyone read the article in Engine Masters magazine on the LS3 engine build that AFR did. I was wondering would you get the same results from a lq4 engine if you used the same components.
The LQ4 is a 4.0 bore, the LS3 is something like 4.068 bore, same stroke. If you need to bore the LQ4 block you will be closer, but I can't imagine the .2 liters making much difference. use the same heads, intake, came & should be pretty close.
Like everyone else is saying, if you use the LS3 top end and throw in a decent sized cam, you'll make a ton of power. The stock LQ4/LQ9 head doesn't even compare to the LS3 head from a performance stand point.
