clutch linkage question

My car is all set up for a 4 speed. Its has all the stock gbody 4 speed stuff. My question is i got a 5 speed from a 1983 chevy camaro. The transmission also has mechanical linkage. Can i just bolt the transmission to my bell housing ad a shifter and go or will that not work?

You will need to shorten the driveshaft 3 inches.

First thing I always think of when it comes to an F-Body T5... that year had the 4-cylinder, 2.8, and 305.

The tag on the hood says 5.7 but it could be from a different car. The engine that is infront of it now is a v8 with about 425hp

If the tag is still on it you can determine what it was originally behind.
