centerline qualifier back spacing.

probly going to be running centerline qualifiers on my 81 Malibu. 7.5 rear. was wondering what the back spacing would be and the maximum rim width that i could put under the car? im thinking 4.5 back spacing and 15x8 would be the maximum

I don't think 4.5 backspacing will work. I have corvette rally wheels on my 80 wagon and still had to use a .5 in spacer. the rally wheel has a 4 in backspace. and I'm using a 28x10 in hoosier slick. Center line does offer a rim with 3 3/8 backspacing. There is a post on here in the faq section on wheels and backspacing.
