Anybody with aluminum Dash /interior pictures?

I have malibu drag car and im thinking of putting a aluminum dash it in because of course factory dash is cracked up, so just looking for some pics of other cars to get some ideas, thank James

I am doing the same thing to mine for the same reason. What I did was measure the width and contour of my factory dash, minus the gauge pod, and then went to the local fab shop and had them bend me one out of sheet aluminum. I do not have it installed yet but think it is going to work out well.

I have collected a few pics of Malibu's with aluminum dashes installed so maybe this will help.

Another alternative would be to use a vfn fiberglass dash.

I like the VFN dash also, but the cost of it is just rediculous compared with an aluminum dash...or for that matter any other fiberglass part. The last time I priced the VFN dash($395 + freight) it was nearly the price of a glass hood, and I'm sorry but there is no way it could cost as much to make that dash as it does to make a hood.

yeah fiberglass is little high i think i like the aluminum look better. thanks photos really helped me get a idea of what i want to do

I had looked at the various alum dash kits available and started to order the S&W version, but happened to stop by the local fab shop, and they had enough sheet aluminum left over from another job to make my dash from...only charged me $40 total for metal and bending it, also gave me what was left over, LOL!!!
