aluminum vs steel brake drums

is there any kinda advantage other than weight between the two? :?:

Alum. ones are a little thicker...as in wheel spacing.

ok was just wondering someone was telling me that it helps performance alittle because they weigh less and that means less rotating mass or something like that. i am not a physics major by any means so i figured what better place to get answers than posting a msg. i couldnt figure out why that would make a difference other that weight and better cooling.

Like you said in your first post...weight is the advantage.

ok, weight it is. thx i guess i will get some for the weight since i plan on shedding a few pounds off the ride. every pound counts,right?
