air cleaners, what are my options?

Are there any stock gm air cleaners that will fit on a holley 600? I am really burned out on the chrome air cleaners. I would like to find a stock air cleaner that would fit, paint it up and then put a 350 sticker on it like the 60's muscle cars. Thanks

How 'bout a stock G-Body Q-Jet air cleaner?

You need an air cleaner base that fits a Holley, the needle and seat hardware on the center hung float bowls are in the way, unless you use about a 7/8" or 1" spacer.

There are several options.

Scoggin Dickey. Looks like the original GM stuff is all gone, they sell this one and the Proform factory styles now.

Most of the repops of the factory open element air cleaners for 68-71 Vette will fit both Quadrajet & Holley carbs as GM used the same base for many different engine combos. Here's a picture of the base for reference:

In any event, I think a stock air cleaner for a '66 325 horsepower 396 Chevelle will fit your needs, but the top is chromed & a repop will cost around $150.00.
